Regardless if trout fishing season is over, Fly Shop’s Mike Mercer still went on and held a fly fishing clinic at Clear Creek as a part of an ongoing nature series with Horsetown Clear Creek Preserve. Mercer shared some techniques and trout habits that should be of great help to fly fishers. These may not be useful for now but can certainly be handy to look back on once the trout season starts. Among the tips included some recommendations for entry-level fly fishers on what type of kits they can get as well as some insects that trout eat.
