With the cold season setting, safety for the fishermen out there needs attention. The number of fishers out there are expected to grow and for sure, many would be needing the aids just in case the waters grow rough. Called Operation Safe Catch, this program aims to increase the rate of safety compliance by the commercial fishing industry to improve risk management measures for the season. The area included in the effort starts near the North and South Carolina border and stretches along the coast north to the Shrewsbury River in New Jersey.
