Fish and Game Hold Ice Fishing Class

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will be holding a three-week Saturday program which is part of the Fish and Game’s “Let’s Go Fishing” Program. The event is open to anyone 16 years old and younger although they need to be accompanied by an adult. Sessions will be January 30 and February 6 from 1 to 4 p.m., and Saturday, February 13, (to be announced).

VHS Fish Virus Found at Lake Superior

There is a serious fish virus on the loose called hemorrhagic septicemia (VHS) plaguing the Lake Superior locations. This was discovered by scientists from Cornell University while testing fish from seven Lake Superior locations. This fish virus has caused large fish kills in lakes Ontario, Erie and Huron. It also has turned up in Lake Michigan.
