Baja Blue Fishing Tournament

A fishing tournament will be held in Baja Mexico in memory of Tony Reyes. Called the Baja Blue Fishing Tournament, this fishing tournament will kick off on March 6, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. at San Felipe Malecon. This should be cool event that aims to give you some fun and an opportunity to get to know the beautiful area of Baja located by the Sea of Cortez.

The annual Spring Fishing Classic will kick off tomorrow and will last up to March 14 at Bass Pro Shops nationwide. The event is made up of a series of fishing-related seminars, workshops and activities. As a sidelight, there will also be a reel trade-in over at the Rancho Cucamonga Store where attendees can bring in their old fishing reel and swap it for a coupon worth $5 to $100 toward the purchase price of a new one.

To help anglers make it to the “Last Chance” Ice Fishing contest set for Saturday over at Fish Lake, organizers have plowed ample space to make sure that incoming participants will not have issues reaching the site and get some parking as well.

The contest is slated to kick off at noon to 3 p.m. where entry fees for adults are set at $25 and $5 for children aged 12 or younger. The event is sponsored by Cloquet Kiwanis Club.

Fly Fishing Weekend for Women

Women get a special treat to Fly Fishing as the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission offers a special introduction from April 9 to 11. This will be held at the at the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education and Davidson River Campground in Transylvania County where registration is a first come first served basis for women 18 years and above. There is a one-time fee of $125 that will be collected and this covers instruction, equipment, most meals and camping accommodations.

Snapper Bonanza Contest

Anglers over at the Far North have announced the Snapper Bonanza Contest, a substitute fishing contest for the Ninety Mile Beach Snapper Classic which was shelved at least up to next year. The Snapper Bonanza Contest will be held from March 22 to 26. Tickets are available for $100 each. Cash and prizes up to $5,000 are to be given away for the said event.
