Anglers headed to Clear Lake this 4th of July weekend are in for a treat as key improvement await them. Most of the bass have completed their spawning cycle and are now feeding. Boaters are however reminded that all the major boat ramps around the lake will be manned by volunteers checking on compliance with the quagga mussel sticker program. The fine is about $450.

If there is one site over at Myanmar that is disappearing, this is the Inle Lake. The Inle Lake is best known for fishermen who glide across their glassy waters in flat-bottomed skiffs and holds the distinction of being one of the most magical places in Asia.
But now, the Inle Lake seems to be on the verge of a collapse, another region that is being affected by global warming and man’s careless acts. It is indeed late but not too late hence the need to safeguard and try to avert losing one of the ideal lakes today lies in the hands of how locals and affected individuals would respond to the lake’s current needs and state.

A family fishing program is being offered this coming Saturday, June 19 which will feature J.C. Webb in covering some of the major fishing destinations in northeastern Colorado. The program will be held at the North Sterling State Park Amphitheater, located near the Inlet Grove Campground.
Novice fishermen as well as seasoned anglers are encouraged to attend and participate in the interactive Q&A session at the conclusion of the program.

The “Kids Fishing Derby” will be held this June 26 at the Corney Lake Recreation Area. The event will take place starting at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. where participants must be 15 years old and under and also accompanied by an adult or guardian.
